Built in 1964, the "Au Gré des Vents" sardine boat became an icon of La Turballe’s sardine fishing and a living testimony to fishing in La Turballe. This 24-tonne boat was used for fishing until 1992. Saved from destruction by some heritage enthusiasts, "Au Gré des Vents" was restored and kept afloat.
