Hirondelle, Designed for Guests with Reduced Mobility
Accessible Room
At the Hôtel Les Chants d’Ailes, we are committed to welcoming all our guests, regardless of their disability, with care and kindness, including those who have specific accessibility needs.
Among our rooms, the Hirondelle is equipped and arranged to allow a comfortable stay for a guest who has difficulty moving or uses a wheelchair.
It is located on the ground floor, just opposite the breakfast room to facilitate and limit movement.
Some important information to consider:
Main Entrance
Access is via three steps (16 cm high), with a 90 cm-wide passage and a handrail on one side. The entrance features an automatic sliding door. Please note that there is no access ramp.
Secondary Entrance
Access is via six steps (16 cm high), with an 80 cm-wide passage and a handrail on one side. The entrance features an automatic swing door. Please note that there is no access ramp.
Inside
Access to the 1st and 2nd Floors : The rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors are accessible by stairs only. The staircase consists of two flights of 19 steps (16 cm step height), with a 110 cm-wide passage and handrails on both sides.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Since 2012, we have been fighting with the town hall & our neighbors to make our hotel accessible to manual and electric wheelchairs.
Indeed, with 3 steps to climb at the main entrance, the only solution is to install a (removable) access ramp on public land or on the private land of our neighbors.
Unfortunately, to this day, we have only received refusals, but we do not despair! One day we will find a solution through political and/or human will.
