A Warm, Family-Run Hotel
We are Cynthia and Benoît, and we have been running the Hôtel Les Chants d’Ailes as a couple since May 2012, with passion and enthusiasm.
Parents of three children, our family life and experiences nourish our desire to welcome our guests with care and simplicity every day.
Upon entering our home, we invite you to enjoy a breathtaking view of the ocean in a family-oriented, authentic, and friendly atmosphere, away from impersonal codes.
Completely independent, the hotel is not part of any chain and has been rated *** since December 7, 2022, according to the new hotel classification.
Our 1930s villa in La Baule, built on only two floors, houses 19 rooms for a more personalized welcome.
The Story of a House Shaped by the Ocean
Since its creation, the villa has always been envisioned as a place of welcome and rest, open to the sea.
Over the years, it has evolved with respect, preserving its architecture, its soul, and its character, while incorporating the comfort and amenities expected today in a *** hotel.
Each renovation, each design choice is part of this continuity: preserving the identity of the place while enhancing the experience of travelers.

1936
Construction of "Les Courlis", a traditional Bauloise-style villa originally built as a private residence.
1988
The villa was converted into a 7-room hotel, with the addition of an extension to house a restaurant.
1995
Two additional floors were built above the restaurant, increasing the hotel to 19 rooms. The restaurant was later closed, transforming the property into a "bed & breakfast hotel" offering accommodation and breakfast only.
2016
Complete renovation of 7 rooms, including insulation, electrical systems, painting, flooring, bathrooms, tiling, joinery, interior décor, furnishings, equipment and premium bedding.
2019
Awarded the Green Key eco-label, an internationally recognised certification for tourism establishments committed to environmental sustainability.
2019 - 2020
Complete renovation of the remaining rooms, including insulation, electrical systems, painting, flooring, bathrooms, tiling, joinery, interior décor, furnishings, equipment and premium bedding.
2020
Complete exterior renovation, including external wall insulation and the installation of a new high-efficiency condensing boiler for heating and hot water.
2022
Renovation of the hotel's common areas, including the reception, breakfast room, corridors and staircases.
Inspired by Nature
The name Les Chants d’Ailes refers to the language of birds and the natural environment surrounding the hotel.
Thus, all the rooms are named after a bird from the salt marshes or the coastline, in homage to this unique territory, between sea, wind, and light.
This identity is reflected in the overall atmosphere of the hotel: a calming, bright ambiance focused on the essentials.
