ARTICLE 1 – SCOPE OF APPLICATION
These terms and conditions apply to all sales made directly with the hotel*** "Les Chants d'Ailes" – 11 boulevard Bellanger – 44420 La Turballe, with the exception of Articles 2, 3, 4 and 5 concerning bookings made online through providers other than the hotel (for Articles 2, 3, 4 and 5, the general terms and conditions that apply are then specific to the partner(s) and may therefore differ from those of the hotel – for example: Booking.com, Expedia, Hotel.com, Smartbox, Wonderbox, etc.).
Accordingly, the guest acknowledges having read these general terms and conditions of sale and the house rules at the time of booking and agrees to comply with them in the mutual interest of the guest and the hotel. Any booking therefore implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms by the guest, to the exclusion of all other non-contractual commercial documents such as sales brochures, flyers, etc.
These general terms and conditions of sale may be modified at any time, and the terms applicable will be those in force on the date the booking is made.
ARTICLE 2 – RATES
The rates shown are in euros and inclusive of all taxes, and take into account the VAT applicable on the day of booking (unless otherwise stated). Any change in the applicable rate, or any modification or introduction of new legal taxes imposed by the competent authorities, will automatically be passed on to the prices shown as of the invoicing date.
Rates apply per room according to its category, for the number of people indicated, and for the selected period, and do not include other extra services (unless otherwise stated).
The rates shown are subject to change without notice depending on economic conditions. Rates confirmed by a hotel quote are fixed for 30 days from the date of the quote. After this period, they may be modified according to economic conditions, with the applicable rates being those in force on the day of arrival.
The tourist tax per day and per person is not included in the displayed price but is charged in addition. The amount and period of application depend on a municipal order as well as the hotel's classification. It is collected by the hotel and passed on to the municipality.
Certain services (such as extras, namely breakfast, meal trays, drinks, bicycle rental, parking, garage, etc.) are subject to an additional charge and may be modified without notice, without any liability whatsoever on the part of the hotel. All extras must be paid for on site.
No service booked before a promotional offer is put in place will be eligible for any refund, even partial.
ARTICLE 3 – BOOKINGS
Bookings can be made on the hotel's official website, by telephone, by email, by mail, or in person at the hotel (walk-in guests).
The booking is made in the name of a specific guest and cannot be transferred. It specifies the dates of stay, the number of nights, the number of people, and the room category.
The guest is solely responsible for their choice of services and their suitability for their needs, such that the hotel cannot be held liable in this respect. However, during periods of high demand, the hotel reserves the right to modify the guest's booking depending on the number of people who will actually occupy the room: for example, a double, triple or quadruple room booked for 1 person may be reassigned as a single room. The same applies to a triple or quadruple room booked for 2 people, which may be reassigned as a double room.
The booking will only become effective if it is guaranteed by the guest providing a credit card number (the 16-digit number on the front of the card and the 4-digit expiry date, i.e. month and year). These numbers are protected as they are encrypted in our PMS via Payline. To reassure guests, the 3-digit security code (CVV) on the back of the card is not required. The guest's contact details will also be requested, namely surname, first name, address, postal code, city, country, email, and mobile phone number. For companies, the intra-community VAT number will also be requested in addition, in accordance with the new French standard NF525 on invoicing.
If the guest refuses to provide these credit card numbers, the hotel requires a deposit cheque instead, but this means that for any cancellation made after booking, the cheque will automatically be cashed.
When the booking is registered, a pre-authorization will be carried out on the bank account to verify the accuracy of the card details. This is done for information purposes only and will not, under any circumstances, constitute a debit from the account, except in the following cases:
A promotional offer described as "non-cancellable – non-modifiable – non-exchangeable – non-refundable – cannot be combined with other offers."
If the credit card's expiry date is earlier than the arrival date.
If the service requires payment in full at the time of booking: a booking made by a company on behalf of a third party, or a booking of a "gift voucher" for a third party. Any such booking is firm and final once payment is collected in full. No full or partial refund may be claimed by the guest.
If the service requires a deposit or payment in full at the time of booking: a group booking blocking five rooms or more. Any such booking is firm and final once the deposit is collected. No full or partial refund may be claimed by the guest.
If the service requires a deposit (arrhes) at the time of booking.
If the arrival date is more than 90 days from the booking date.
All of this information is specified by the hotel at the time of booking.
These transactions are carried out via remote sale (VAD – Vente à Distance) over a secure network, either through an EFTPOS terminal (TPE) or through our online payment partner, Payline.
The hotel accepts Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard and AMEX credit cards, and bookings, whatever their origin, are payable in euros only.
The hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking if the credit card number is incorrect, if the booking is incomplete, or if the guest requires a special request, service, or specific arrangement, or any other request that the hotel is not able to offer and/or fulfil.
The hotel cannot be held liable for the non-performance or improper performance of a booking in the event of technical problems occurring at the establishment, notably unavailability of the internet network, inability to access the website, external intrusion, computer viruses, IT failure, or in the event of prepayment not authorized by the cardholder's bank. The guest may not claim compensation from the hotel for this.
As is the case for the guest, the hotel cannot be held liable for the non-performance or improper performance of the guest's booking if the guest has experienced technical problems.
Payment of the total or remaining balance of services will be made directly to the hotel on the day of the guest's arrival, at the time the room key is handed over.
The booking takes effect between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm on the day of the guest's arrival, and ends at 11:00 am on the day of departure.
The booking is therefore held until 7:00 pm on the guest's arrival date. If the guest does not notify the hotel of a late arrival or does not show up on the expected date (no-show), the hotel is released from all obligations toward the guest regardless of the length of the booked stay, may re-let the room that same evening, and no full or partial refund may be claimed by the guest. The hotel will be entitled to debit the guest's account through the bank guarantee provided by the guest at the time of booking. An invoice may be issued upon request.
The hotel therefore reserves the right to debit the guest's account. If the hotel is unable to collect the amount (invalid credit card – expired date), the hotel will contact the guest to request payment of the cancellation fees by other means of payment (details of another credit card, bank transfer, cash, ANCV holiday vouchers (paper or digital), or bank cheque).
If, upon the arrival of the guest who made the booking, there are no rooms available at the hotel for any reason, whether or not attributable to the hotel, and the guest's booking therefore cannot be honoured by the hotel, the hotel will arrange to accommodate the guest, in whole or in part, at another hotel of an equivalent category, for services of the same nature, and subject to the guest's prior agreement. Any additional cost of the room will be covered by the hotel.
If the hotel notifies the guest, 24 hours before the arrival date, of its inability to accommodate them, the hotel is then no longer obliged to find alternative accommodation for the guest.
The guest may not claim any additional compensation of any kind whatsoever in return.
For online bookings made via the websites of other partner providers of the hotel, cancellation must be made via that website by the guest themselves. The applicable cancellation conditions are then specific to the partner and may therefore differ from those of the hotel.
ARTICLE 4 – CANCELLATIONS AND ANY APPLICABLE FEES
Any booking cancellation request must be made by telephone at 02 40 23 47 28 and confirmed by email at contact@leschantsdailes.com or by mail. The request will only become effective once the hotel has confirmed its acceptance. In the event of an accident, death, medical reasons, etc., the hotel remains the sole judge as to whether or not to waive cancellation fees, since this is not considered a case of force majeure (see Article 7) but only a reason that may be considered valid. If the hotel decides to waive the fees, the guest must provide supporting documentation. Without such documentation, the cancellation fees will remain due.
In the event of cancellation of a stay, the following standard conditions apply, except in cases of force majeure (see Article 7) or if other cancellation conditions different from those below have been provided by the hotel (quote, email, letter, website) at the time of booking, concerning a promotional offer or a last-minute offer (non-cancellable – non-refundable), a group booking (several rooms), or any other special booking stipulating specific cancellation conditions.
4-1/ DIRECT BOOKINGS GUARANTEED BY A CREDIT CARD NUMBER (16 digits + expiry date)
4-1-1/ FROM 1 TO 4 ROOMS – Flexible 15 days
Free cancellation up to 15 days before the arrival date.
For any cancellation made 14 to 4 days before the expected arrival date, the guest will be charged 30% of the total amount.
For any cancellation made 3 to 1 day(s) before the expected arrival date, the guest will be charged 50% of the total amount.
For any cancellation made on the day of the expected arrival, the guest will be charged 75% of the total amount.
For all bookings of 1 to 4 rooms, we do not require prepayment, but we do carry out a pre-authorization. This means temporarily blocking a certain amount of money before the guest's arrival (generally 30% of the total accommodation amount) in order to verify the accuracy of the bank details. This standard procedure is used to check that the credit card is valid and has not been lost or stolen. This amount will be fully released upon arrival if there has been no cancellation within the specified period.
Example with an arrival on Monday the 30th:
Free cancellation before Sunday the 15th (30 – 15 days) at 11:59 pm,
Cancellation fee of 30% of the total amount from Monday the 16th (30 – 14 days) at 12:00 am to Thursday the 26th (30 – 4 days) at 11:59 pm,
Cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount from Friday the 27th (30 – 3 days) at 12:00 am to Sunday the 29th (30 – 1 day) at 11:59 pm,
Cancellation fee of 75% of the total amount from Monday the 30th at 12:00 am.
4-1-2/ FROM 5 ROOMS OR MORE – Non-refundable
Firm and final booking with a non-refundable prepayment of 50% at the time of booking.
For any cancellation made 14 to 4 days before the expected arrival date, the guest will be charged an additional 30% of the total amount (i.e. 80% in total).
For any cancellation made within 3 days (72 hours) before the expected arrival date, the guest will be charged an additional 50% of the total amount (i.e. 100% in total).
For all bookings of 5 rooms or more, we take a prepayment by debiting the bank account in advance, corresponding to 50% of the total booking amount.
4-2/ DIRECT BOOKINGS GUARANTEED BY A DEPOSIT CHEQUE
In the event of refusal to provide a credit card number, and regardless of the number of room(s), we require, in return, a deposit cheque, but with specific cancellation fees, namely that for any cancellation made after booking, the cheque will automatically be cashed, regardless of the cancellation date. No refund may therefore be claimed by the guest.
4-3/ BOOKINGS VIA OTAs (Resellers such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotel.com, etc.) – Flexible 60 days
Free cancellation up to 60 days before the arrival date.
For any cancellation made within 59 days before the expected arrival date, the guest will be charged 100% of the total amount.
For all bookings of one or more room(s), we may, at any time, carry out either a prepayment of the total stay amount or a pre-authorization of the total stay amount. Pre-authorization means temporarily blocking the amount before arrival in order to verify the accuracy of the bank details. This standard procedure is used to check that the card is valid and has not been lost or stolen. This amount will be fully refunded or released upon arrival if there has been no cancellation in the meantime.
4-4/ BOOKINGS VIA SMARTBOX / DAKOTABOX GIFT BOXES
For any cancellation made within 3 days (72 hours) before the expected arrival date, the guest forfeits their gift box and no refund may be claimed.
4-5/ BOOKINGS VIA WONDERBOX / VIVABOX GIFT BOXES
For any cancellation made after booking, the guest forfeits their gift box and no refund may be claimed.
4-6/ SPECIAL CASES
For any no-show (a guest who does not notify the hotel and does not arrive) by the arrival date before 7:00 pm, the full amount of the booking will be charged, despite any follow-up attempts by the hotel by telephone, email, or SMS.
Any stay that has begun is due in full. No refund, even partial, is provided for in the event of an interrupted stay or an early departure by the guest before the end of their stay, regardless of the reason.
4-7/ BICYCLE RENTAL BOOKINGS
For any cancellation or no-show (a guest who does not notify the hotel and does not arrive) on the collection date, the full amount of the booking will be charged, despite any follow-up attempts by the hotel by telephone, email, or SMS.
Reminder:
Prepayment consists of debiting the bank account in advance using the guest's 16-digit card number and 4-digit expiry date. For this procedure, we never request the 3-digit CVV security code.
Pre-authorization consists of blocking an amount on the bank account in advance using the guest's 16-digit card number and 4-digit expiry date. For this procedure, we never request the 3-digit CVV security code.
ARTICLE 5 – CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Cancellation and stay-interruption insurance with our partner SafeBooking (Gritchen group) makes it possible to cover an unforeseen event (illness, COVID, death, bodily injury, hospitalization, cancellation of leave by the employer, transport problems, water damage, theft of identity documents, etc.). More details are available directly on the SafeBooking website.
Subscription can be done at the same time as your booking via our online booking module, or afterward via the SafeBooking website.
However, any claim must be filed directly on the SafeBooking website. For more information: https://www.assurances-sejours.com/
This insurance is offered for all types of bookings (flexible 15-day, non-refundable, promotional, etc.) and costs 4.5% of the total stay amount.
ARTICLE 6 – MODIFICATIONS
Any modification to a booking before the guest's expected arrival date must be requested either by email at contact@leschantsdailes.com, by mail, or by telephone at 02 40 23 47 28. This request will only become effective once the hotel has confirmed its acceptance based on feasibility. Any changes to the original booking, such as a shifted arrival date, a shifted departure date, a change in the number of people, or a change in the number of days, cannot under any circumstances give rise to a refund, even partial.
After the guest's arrival, in the event of an extension of stay, the guest must notify hotel reception as soon as possible, or at the latest by 10:00 am on the originally scheduled departure day, in order to check availability.
Any stay that has begun is due in full. No refund, even partial, is provided for in the event of an interrupted stay or an early departure by the guest before the end of their stay, regardless of the reason.
ARTICLE 7 – PAYMENTS
For all bookings made online, by telephone, or by email, we collect a deposit of 30% of the total stay amount at the time of booking.
The remaining balance of the stay is payable on site. The hotel accepts credit cards (Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, AMEX), bank transfers (IBAN only), debiting of the guest's bank account via remote sale (VAD) over the secure network of our EFTPOS terminal or our partner Payline, cash, and ANCV holiday vouchers, paper or digital, BUT UP TO A LIMIT OF 50% OF THE TOTAL STAY AMOUNT.
The hotel requires guests to present proof of identity for payments made with paper ANCV holiday vouchers.
Unless otherwise stated, no payment deadline extension is granted. Any late payment will result in late payment penalties equal to one and a half times the legal interest rate in force, without prior formal notice.
Payment for extras (breakfast, drinks, bicycle rental, parking, garage, etc.) or, where applicable, the tourist tax charged to the guest, must be settled by the guest concerned on the eve of departure. If not settled, the invoice will be sent to the guest, who agrees to settle it at reception.
ARTICLE 8 – FORCE MAJEURE
Force majeure refers to any event external to the parties that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable, preventing either the guest or the hotelier from ensuring or performing all or part of the obligations set out in the booking. This notably includes strikes affecting transport or hotel staff, insurrection, riots, and any prohibition whatsoever issued by government or public authorities (those generally recognized by the case law of French courts and tribunals). The hotel may also be released from its obligations, or may suspend their performance, if it is unable to fulfil them due to a case of force majeure or an accidental event compelling it to do so (hotel staff strike, fire, water damage, total or partial destruction of the hotel, internal or external technical incident, delayed works, administrative closure, etc.).
It is expressly agreed that neither party may be held liable to the other in the event of failure to perform its obligations resulting from a force majeure event.
At the same time, it is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends the performance of the parties' mutual obligations, and that each party bears all costs arising from it.
In the event of force majeure, the hotelier may disregard the deadlines normally required for modification or cancellation with fees. The hotelier may decide not to apply these fees. In such a case, the hotel is entitled to request supporting documentation from the guest explaining the force majeure event.
ARTICLE 9 – HOUSE RULES
The hotel has house rules intended for guests. The guest accepts and agrees to comply with these rules. In the event of a guest's failure to comply with any provision of the house rules, the hotelier will be obliged to ask the guest to leave the establishment without any compensation and/or refund if payment has already been made.
9-1 – HOURS
Rooms are made available to guests from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm and must be vacated by 11:00 am at the latest on departure. Any delay beyond 11:00 am will result in an additional charge of €29. In the event of arrival after 7:00 pm, the guest must notify the hotel by telephone so that the hotel can, where applicable, provide the access code, or be informed of the late arrival and make the necessary arrangements. If the guest does not notify the hotel and encounters a problem upon arrival, the hotel cannot be held liable.
The hotel does its best to make rooms available but cannot be required to do so before 4:30 pm. The hotel therefore recommends that any guest wishing to arrive before 4:30 pm and have immediate access to the room should book the previous night. The same applies for late departures, i.e. booking an additional night to guarantee this. However, if the guest is unable to make these arrangements (arriving one night early and leaving one night late), the hotel may offer a paid "Early Check-In" and a paid "Late Check-Out" service. These services are subject to specific guest requests and may be accepted by the hotel depending on feasibility at the time (internal organization, staff availability, room cleaning completed on time, etc.).
9-2 – SMOKING/VAPING
The hotel advises that the ban on smoking and vaping (e-cigarettes) is in force, respectively, in all public places since 2 January 2008 (decree no. 2006-1386 of 15/11/2006) and in certain public places since 1 October 2017 (decree no. 2017-633 of 25/04/2017). The hotel has decided to also apply these regulations in this private establishment. Smoking is also strictly forbidden in rooms, even with the window open, on balconies, and in the hotel's common areas, for obvious reasons of safety, comfort, health, and respect for the guest staying the following night. Due to the proven harmful effects of passive smoking on health, staff are not authorized to clean a smoking room for 24 hours, and the room cannot be rented out the following night. As a result of this violation, a supplement of €50 will be charged to restore the room and eliminate the lingering smell of tobacco after the guest's departure, if the breach is noted by hotel management.
9-3 – PETS
Small dogs under 10 kg are permitted, but only upon request, subject to approval and conditions (limited to one dog per room), with an additional charge. It is understood by the guest that there cannot be 19 dogs in a hotel with 19 rooms. If the hotel finds an undeclared dog, or one not previously approved, the guest will be charged an additional €50.
If the hotel accepts the dog, the guest must agree to follow certain rules:
For hygiene reasons, the dog must be clean, must not get on the beds, and must not sleep directly on the floor, but in a basket or on a mat brought by the guest. For reasons of respect for others, it must not bark. And for safety reasons, it must not be left alone in the room, even during breakfast, and must be kept on a leash in all common areas of the hotel (breakfast room, reception, stairwells, corridors, parking, etc.).
In the event of damage noted by hotel management, bactericidal disinfection of the room will be charged at €50.
Outside, the dog must not relieve itself in the hotel parking lot, but in the gutters of the surrounding streets set aside for that purpose. Guests must clean up after their dog (bags are freely available throughout the town of La Turballe).
Cats and other animals, even in cages, are not permitted in the hotel.
9-4 – BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 10:00 am during the season, either in the dedicated dining room or in the guest's room upon request (with a supplement). Outside the season, and exclusively for business clients, breakfast may be served earlier upon request, but never before 7:15 am (we depend on the opening hours of the bakeries in La Turballe). Before 7:15 am, depending on feasibility, we may prepare a table the evening before with available products. Business clients will then be entirely self-sufficient.
Guests must book breakfast at the latest by 7:00 pm the evening before. For reasons of waste reduction, the hotel reserves the right to charge for breakfast if it was ordered but not consumed.
The reduced children's breakfast rate applies to children under 8 years old. From age 8, breakfast will be charged at the normal price. Breakfast is free for children under 3 years old.
It is strictly forbidden to take food out of the breakfast room. These products must be consumed on site.
9-5 – HOUSEKEEPING
On the day of departure, guests must vacate the room by 11:00 am at the latest so that staff have the necessary time to clean the room before 4:30 pm, the arrival time of the next guest. For guests staying multiple nights, rooms must also be vacated by 11:00 am, as staff clean rooms each morning until 12:00 pm. After this time, only towels may possibly be changed. To make housekeeping staff's work easier, guests should put away their personal belongings and leave nothing on the bed (items, clothing, etc.).
If a guest does not wish to have housekeeping and/or does not wish to be disturbed, they must inform reception or floor staff. For towels to be changed, guests should place them on the floor, in the shower, or in the bathtub. Otherwise, they will not be changed, for economic and environmental reasons. Guests agree not to use bathroom towels to go to the beach (older towels can be borrowed on simple request at reception).
For medium, long, and very long stays, sheets are changed, on average (depending on condition), every 5 to 6 days.
9-6 – PARKING
The hotel provides guests with a small private, free car park, but reservation is possible via a paid service, except for holders of the Mobility Inclusion Card (this will be requested upon arrival and must then be displayed behind the windshield). This car park is freely accessible and unsupervised. As it has only 7 spaces for a hotel with 19 rooms, the hotel cannot be held responsible if a guest is unable to park there.
The hotel also offers a paid service for renting a private, enclosed garage for guests. The guest's vehicle must be insured. Reservation is recommended before the start of the stay.
In its private car park and its private garage, the hotel cannot be held responsible in the event of theft of the vehicle and/or theft from the vehicle and/or damage.
The municipality provides a free public car park with 16 spaces (including 1 for disabled access) facing the hotel, as well as street parking around the hotel (boulevard Bellanger and rue Professeur Claude Lemoine).
The hotel also provides a freely accessible outdoor bicycle rack.
The hotel may also make available to guests a closed, private basement area (depending on space and time of year) for bicycles (please inquire at reception).
9-7 – WIFI
Before connecting, please read the following WiFi Usage Charter:
Your connection must be renewed every 4 hours.
Use of the WiFi service is subject, first and foremost, to compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Use of this service constitutes irrevocable acceptance by the user, without any signature required, of all the provisions and obligations contained in this Charter.

You declare that you have read this Charter in full, agree to comply with it, and acknowledge that your equipment, its content, and the use of the WiFi service are entirely your own responsibility.
9-8 – THEFT
Regarding items belonging to guests, guests must ensure the safekeeping of their own belongings and equipment. This is why hotel management disclaims all liability in the event of loss or theft of valuables and/or cash in rooms, common areas, the private car park, the private enclosed garage, or the private enclosed basement area. The hotel also disclaims all liability for luggage or items left in common areas.
Guests must ensure themselves that the room door is properly locked when leaving the room and before going to sleep.
Regarding items belonging to the hotel, the hotel may, after inspection, charge for the disappearance of its property and equipment (towels, bath mats, pillows, duvets, paintings, door blocks, etc.).
9-9 – DAMAGE
Guests must inform the hotel of any damage they cause. Guests are responsible for all damage caused by them and agree, in the event of damage to the premises made available to them, whether furniture, decoration, or property belonging or not belonging to the hotel (room, bathrooms, common areas, parking), to bear the costs based on the replacement or restoration of the damaged item(s), as well as any resulting loss of business.
Guests will likewise be held liable for any acts of vandalism that may occur as a result of occupying the premises and/or as a result of participants and/or staff under their responsibility. As a result, the hotel may ask the guest to leave the establishment without any compensation and without any refund for the current stay, and to reimburse damages caused by such acts.
9-10 – BICYCLE RENTALS
Any minor must present written authorization signed by their parents or the responsible person. Any day begun is due in full.
Rental is always payable in advance. Any completed rental is non-refundable, even due to bad weather or early return.
A deposit is required. Presentation of proof of identity is mandatory in order to draw up the rental contract.
The renter agrees to use the bicycle with care and to maintain it properly.
The renter is personally liable for any traffic offence, and is always liable for any bodily or material damage caused while using the rented bicycle in their care (Articles 1383 and 1384 of the French Civil Code).
In the event of theft or accident, a report must be filed immediately with the police or gendarmerie, and the rental provider must be notified at the same time.
In the event of theft, or if the renter is found responsible for an accident, the renter or their insurer must compensate the rental provider for the loss suffered (replacement value of the bicycle and commercial loss).
In such a case, the deposit remains with the rental provider and will be applied toward compensation for the loss.
"Head of household" insurance covers damage caused to third parties by the renter or their minor children.
The rental provider is not insured against theft of rented bicycles.
It is forbidden to:
modify the rented bicycle,
carry out repairs or significant modifications,
ride on beaches or in seawater,
sub-let the bicycle,
carry a passenger other than a young child, provided an approved child seat is installed,
extend the rental period without prior agreement. Failing this, the initial rate will apply for the entire duration of the rental.
9-11 – RECOMMENDATIONS
Guests accept and agree to use the room as a responsible person would ("bon père de famille"). Any behaviour contrary to public decency and public order will lead the hotelier to ask the guest to leave the establishment without any compensation and/or refund if payment has already been made. If no payment has yet been made, the guest must pay for the nights already consumed before leaving the establishment.
Indeed, the hotelier is free to refuse to accommodate guests, or to interrupt their stay, if their attire is indecent or unkempt, if their behaviour is noisy or improper, or if their behaviour is contrary to public decency and public order.
Out of respect for the rest of other guests, guests agree not to slam doors or make noise, particularly between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Any noise disturbance related to the behaviour of a person or an animal under a guest's responsibility may lead the hotelier to ask the guest to leave the establishment, without the need to carry out acoustic measurements, as soon as the noise generated is likely to disturb the peace and quiet of other guests (Articles R.1334-30 and R.1334-31 of the French Public Health Code). A hotel room is a shared place of rest.
A guest disturbed by the noise of a neighbouring guest has the right to politely approach that guest and ask them to stop the disturbance.
A guest disturbed by noise from people outside the hotel has the right to politely approach them and ask them to stop the disturbance. If the disturbed guest does not obtain satisfaction, they have the right to call the gendarmerie (17 or 112).
Guests agree not to invite anyone whose behaviour might in any way harm the hotel, the hotel reserving the right to intervene if necessary. Guests agree to ensure their guests comply with all of the hotel's rules and regulations (including the smoking ban). Guests must ensure that their guests do not disrupt the hotel's operations or compromise the safety of the hotel or the people present there.
Guests may not bring in drinks, food, or cooking equipment (microwave, camping stove, etc.) from outside in order to cook, without the prior authorization of management. Any commercial activity is strictly forbidden. Unless agreed by the hotelier, guests must not do laundry in the rooms.
Upon departure, guests must return their room key to reception. If they realize they still have it in their possession, they must send it back.
The hotel is not responsible for items left behind by guests upon departure. If such items are claimed within 72 hours of the guest's departure, and if they have been found, they will be held for the guest for one month, or, upon request, sent back to the guest at the guest's expense, cash on delivery. Items left or abandoned may be resold under the conditions provided for by the law of 31 March 1896.
Rooms are designed for a specific number of people; for hotel safety reasons, guests must not, under any circumstances, accommodate additional people without the hotel's prior agreement.
The hotel is an establishment open to the public and is therefore governed by very strict fire safety regulations. The hotel asks guests to follow these instructions (displayed in rooms and corridors) in the event of an evacuation. Room doors are "fire doors" fitted with "door closers"; guests must ensure themselves that the room door is properly closed when leaving the room and before going to sleep.

ARTICLE 15 – DISPUTE RESOLUTION
After having informed the hotel and attempted to resolve the dispute amicably, and failing an amicable settlement within 60 days from the date the matter was raised, the guest is informed of the possibility of resorting to conventional mediation, in particular with the Consumer Mediation Commission (Consumer Code, Article L 534-7), or with existing sector-specific mediation bodies, to any alternative dispute resolution method (such as conciliation), or to the jurisdiction of the French courts in the event of a dispute.
ARTICLE 16 – APPLICABLE LAW
These general terms and conditions of sale are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory protective provisions that may apply under the law of the consumer's country of residence. This applies equally to substantive and procedural rules.
